I received the Taidea diamond sharpener kit as a gift In December 2016.
The alignment rods once screwed into the stones do not line up. In only one(800grit) does it screw in fully but is skew. The 360 grit is aligned correctly but only goes in for two threads. The other three stones the rods are severely off centre as can be seen from the photos. As such the kit cannot be used to sharpen correctly.
This was escalated to Technopro on the 27/12/2016 for them to rectify.
Following their procedures and with discussion to their customer service, the product was posted to them with the assurance of replacement and reimbursement for the out of pocket fees for postage.
On 7/2/2017 I was informed that to replace the product they agree was faulty, I must pay a additional R273 for them to process the warranty for postage and admin fees!
This goes directly against what their own return policy states, what their customer service agreed with me and what the NATIONAL CREDIT ACT states as mandatory.
From the beginning of the complaint, I have emailed in excess of 50 emails to their customer service and sales, and called repeatedly. The most common response is a auto response and for the last month silence with no calls being returned nor mails answered.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
Their service is disgusting and clearly there is no moral compass or ethics within from what I have experienced.
