In 1998 the Original Colonial Paddle Fan was designed in answer to a plethora of requests for a stylish timber fan from a bygone era and Sky Fans was born. We combined our solid background in ventilation with a natural feel for design to create this unique ceiling fan: simplicity, elegance, and excellence were the guiding principles and the Original Colonial Paddle Fan has gained a well-deserved reputation for being the best ceiling fan available in South Africa.
Our production is limited as every fan is handmade to order by our small, highly skilled and dedicated team. Handcrafted quality takes time and effort, the result, a beautiful fan. Each Sky Fan is comprehensively tested and balanced by hand to ensure wobble-free performance. Our finishing is second to none, no detail is overlooked with every component important, checked and tested.
Our studio workshop is situated in Wynberg, Cape Town with a view of Table Mountain.
