Company description

Curro is one of the top independent schools in South Africa and specialize in private nursery schools, primary schools and high schools as well as private colleges. We have top qualified teachers to educate boys and girls in English or Afrikaans from 3 months to grade 12.
All Curro schools follow the same school terms as the various Education Departments, with small variations. Enrolments at all schools are open so you can follow the specific school’s enrolment procedure carefully to avoid delay.
Curro Kids nursery schools are English and Afrikaans medium and accommodate boys and girls from three months to five years old, but the entry level differs from school to school. Please refer to your school of choice for details. Children can LEARN AND PLAY for half days or full days, Mondays to Fridays, including school holidays.
FOUNDATION PHASE (GRADE R to GRADE 3)
In the foundation phase, focus is placed on the acquisition of skills, concepts and knowledge that are essential for further excellent learning. Curro offers a dynamic and invitational atmosphere where learners enjoy school and develop a LOVE FOR LEARNING. Curro acknowledges the potential of each learner to reach his/her optimum ability and therefore less emphasis is placed on competitiveness and more on individual achievement. Curro creates opportunities for personal growth in INDEPENDENCE and RESPONSIBILITY so that learners become accountable for their actions in the intermediate phase.
SENIOR PHASE (GRADE 8 to GRADE 9)

Curro practises a system of invitational education in which learners are regarded as ABLE, VALUABLE and RESPONSIBLE. Curro's Christian ethos is supported by values that encourage learners to explore and express their individuality within acceptable limits and to accept responsibility for their actions.

Curro encourages learners to follow their hearts and to develop into the best people they can be. The curriculum covers PROBLEM-SOLVING, CREATIVE THINKING and the development of skills and values. Learners now start preparing for the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) matric examination.
